WindanSea Community
Clubhouse Caloundra
A versatile, modern space built by the local WindanSea surf community for the local surf community and beyond.
Explore the WindanSea Clubhouse
The Clubhouse is an inclusive facility for the local surfing community of Caloundra. But apart from being a venue available to the public for hire, one of its core missions is to become the ‘spiritual and physical’ home of surfing in Caloundra - for every surfing club, group and person on this coast and beyond.
Building and opening the Clubhouse laid the foundation for something bigger: a Centre for Surfing Excellence here on the Sunshine Coast, and in time, a leading address in Australia's surfing culture.
Meet the Local Surf Community
Caloundra hosts a lively, strongly connected surfing community with a number of varied clubs who host a multitude of annual surf events and championships catering to different interest groups.
This includes the WindanSea Boardriders, the Caloundra Malibu Club, the Caloundra Women Surfers, the Disabled Surfers Association, who are all sharing the waves across various breaks all year round.
Beyond the clubs, the Caloundra surf culture is famous for being the home of surf legends Ma and Pa Bendall, as well as proud home turf for world champion Joel Parkinson.
What’s On at The Clubhouse
The Clubhouse runs a full calendar of classes, workshops and events, led by local independent businesses and practitioners who care about enriching the lives of Caloundra’s diverse community.
This includes weekly yoga classes, holistic health weekend workshops, as well as environmental initiatives run by council.
Check out what’s happening and make sure to join in for a class or an event to support your health and make new connections.
